While we wanted to leave this morning, it just wasn't possible, so the Lord still must want us here for today.
Within the past couple of days...
*A hot water pipe broke under the house
*Therefore, we have no running water in the house
*A couple of children have had a fever
*My washing machine stopped working (thankfully just as I was on my last load of camp laundry! Do you think maybe I overworked it a bit? :-) )
*Some situations came up in the church needing Daniel's time/attention
Often, when Daniel is about to go preach somewhere new, things like this happen.
We are always reminded of the spiritual battle we are in.
And remember that greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world!
Yesterday, after tearing up the floor in the laundry room, the leak was found! Praise the Lord!
Now on to the task of repairing it today. The position of the leak will make that task difficult and we are praying for the Lord's blessing in getting the job done quickly and efficiently.
When you have no running water in the house and a broken washing machine, children are particularly attracted to the large pile of mud sitting on the laundry room floor.
I am thankful that God has seen fit to work more patience in me!
Our family verse for this week is Philippians 2:14-
Do all things without murmurings and disputings.
No complaining. No arguing.
Asking the Lord to work that in our hearts!!
The rush right before a big trip especially when unexpected problems arise gives us many opportunities to die to ourselves and live unto Christ.
Thank you so much for praying for us!
Lord willing, we'll be pulling out about 5 am tomorrow morning.
So thankful that the Lord loves and cares for us so much!
I meant to say yesterday that I am thankful you found the problem before you left instead of returning home to a bigger mess!
ReplyDeletePraying for departure in God's perfect timing!
I just read your previous post to my husband earlier today. Will be praying for you all as you get ready to head out. It is SO true that the attacks often come when you have the most going on. Think I might have our girls learn that verse!
ReplyDeleteJaynee, I have been peeking in on you and praying for your upcoming trip but haven't been able to leave a comment till now. It's after midnight and everyone is asleep, finally.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you got to see the blog post about John coming home. Your last comment about getting it done before you left on furlough motivated me to find some time to post.
We are praying for a safe trip for you all and that God would make the traveling a blessing for each of you.
Hoping to see you soon~ Cinnamon
It is great to hear you were able to find the leak easily. The floor sure looks a mess. I hope everything gets put back together soon.
ReplyDeletePraying for you that your broken pipe is quickly fixed, and that your kids feel better. Praying for safe travels.
ReplyDeletePraying for you all. God does everything for a reason, even if we do not understand so I am sure all things will fall into place for you as they should very soon.
ReplyDeleteSafe travels to you and yours!
